I always believed in a “never settle” attitude

“Dream is not that which you see while sleeping, it is something that does not let you sleep.”

― A.P.J. Abdul Kalam

And yes, I call myself a dreamer. I am a graduate from NIT Allahabad. After my graduation, I worked for a couple of years as a software developer in SAP Labs, Bangalore. I got married in 2017.

I always believed in a “never settle” attitude. After marriage, I planned to pursue MBA. It was a tough call. But my husband, being very supportive of my decision, always motivated me to pursue my dreams. In the society that I belong to, girls have to fight even to continue their career after marriage, and there I was, preparing for an MBA. And well, in the end, it all paid off when I got a convert from IIM Udaipur. It was a dream come true for me.

It has not even been two months, and I can see the change in myself. I enjoy every aspect of my life here. Everything teaches me a lot and helps me to improve and build myself. IIM Udaipur is indeed a place for “transformation”, and I feel lucky to be a part of it.

#HumansofBalicha is a medium for sharing inspiring stories of the members within the IIM Udaipur community. The initiative aims to reflect on qualities which encourage people to aspire, to pursue and to achieve.
