Alumni And Allies Association (A4) strives to establish a liaison between the alumni of IIMU and the institute. Alumni today are the torch bearers of the institute and would be passing on the baton to the students of the existing batch of IIMU. As the name suggests, community also includes the "Allies" hitherto known as "the friends of IIM U". These allies are the individuals who have nurtured this institute and its students since inception. With their vast amount of experience, they facilitate a platform between IIM Udaipur and corporate world. The association would endeavor to keep the alumni connected to the institute and its principles, and present an opportunity to them for giving something back to the institute in any form which would enable the institute to emerge successful in its efforts to become the one of the world's best institutes.
Our first step towards connecting the alumni with the students was through "Sampark - Glazing the Summers"which involved a series of conference calls and mock interview sessions between the alumni and the PGP1s so as to help the latter during their summer internship process. Next, our half-yearly comprehensive magazine The Thump! featured the latest happenings on the campus, contributions from the faculty, alumni as well as existing students and news about upcoming events & occasions.
Our flagship event, FlashBack-The IIMU reunion,was a stepping stone to a never ending legacy at IIM Udaipur. The first ever edition was held in the form of a day-long event which involved the whole IIMU community. Further to this, we are the initiators of IIM UdaipurProfessional Mentorship Program,which involves professionals, who have established themselves in the corporate world, guiding students from our institute. The program's prime objective is to ensure that a student can look up to a mentor who would provide guidance throughout their two years at IIMU and even further beyond, which would enhance his/her overall development not only a budding professional but also as an individual. There are other events (Summers Chapter Meetetc.) in the pipeline which would facilitate the network to grow endlessly. With all these events and initiatives under the roof, A4 is the proud winner of 1st ever Annual Awards at IIM Udaipur.
