Saksham is the Entrepreneurship Club of Indian Institute of Management Udaipur. As the name signifies, the club endeavors to augment entrepreneurial capability in students. Its main objective is to ignite a spark within the students to take up innovative ideas and bring them to fruition. The Vision of the Club is to foster a spirit of entrepreneurship in the student community of IIM Udaipur and the society at large by enabling translation of ideas into successful ventures. IIM Udaipur has entered in MoUs with TiE and NEN for a long term engagement in entrepreneurial activities. Our adherence to our values, our dedication towards the club and our passion towards entrepreneurship had made us proud winners of Best debutant E-cell of North Zone award presented by NEN (National Entrepreneurship Network), in 2013.
Prarambh is a 32-hour startup challenge .The idea of a start-up weekend competition is to bring together entrepreneurs of different backgrounds, including software developers, marketers, designers, and other enthusiasts. They gather to pitch ideas, form teams and build working prototypes in just 32 hours.
Prarambh 2015 was attended and judged by eminent personalities like-
Pranay Chulet (Founder and CEO of Quikr India Private Limited), Shailesh Vikram Singh (Executive Director - Seedfund Advisors), Rajneesh Bhandari (Director, Cosmo Infrasolutions, President TiE Rajasthan, Executive Committee– RAIN), Dilip Kumar (Co-Founder & CEO –Inolyst), Tathagat Varma (Founder, Thought Leadership), Rajiv Agarwal (Co-founder Intelli Organics), Ramesh Loganathan (VP – Products & Center Head, Progress Software- Hyderabad Labs), Ashish Bhatnagar (Founder of Croissance Consulting Pvt Ltd) and Gaurav Mantri (Founder & Head of Technology at Cynapta).
IDEATE– An Intra College Business plan competition, was organized in November 2014. The judges were Mr. Gaurav Mantri (Founder & Head of Technology at Cynapta), Prof. N. Viswananthan and Mr. Atul Mathur.

GUEST TALKS by Gaurav Mantri - Founder, Cerebrata&Cynapta, Mahavir Pratap Sarma - Global Board Member, TiE, Pranay Gupta - CIIE Member, Founder - 91springboard, Preeti Singh - NEN Representative, Sanjay Anandaram - Venture Partner - Seed Fund, Founder – JumpStartUp. In addition to this various campus companies have been founded by Saksham members. Apart from these events, Saksham fortnightly organizes, Open House Discussions, where students of IIM Udaipur discuss and brainstorm on innovative business ideas.
