CodeRed was established to create a vibrant life for the students of Indian Institute of Management Udaipur. The club has an aim to provide the students with some light and refreshing moments between their hectic academic curriculums. The purview extends from parties, races, games; quizzes to anything that helps students celebrate life and rejuvenate.We believe in the "Work Hard Party Harder" syndrome.
The club has diversified its activities in thepast couple of years. Started as the party/events organizing club of IIM Udaipur, CodeRED has successfully added events and activities in its basket. A rocking party welcomes the Fresher Batch to let the new faces interact with their seniors. To celebrate the successful completion of two years at IIMU, the club organizes a Farewell party for the departing batch. Unanticipated celebrations parties have been the forteof CodeRED. The club also celebrates life at IIM Udaipur with various other events like Pub-quiz, Fly-High, movie-nights, races etc.
The club conducts events both as standalone entity as well as in collaboration with other clubs/committees.
The senior batch welcomes the buds at IIMU with open arms (literally!) by hosting a grand celebration filled with fun, frolic and laughter. The evening is lit up with music, dance and food. There are handshakes, body hugs, leg shakes and what-not! The day ends with everlasting memories in the hearts of juniors and a rollicking start to their journey ahead.
The club in collaboration with CulComm- the cultural committee of IIMU organizes a grand event in an attempt to thank the entire faculty and the staff for devoting their time and energy to impart good values and teachings to the student community. The event marksa cake cutting ceremony in the presence of the entire community, performances by the students and teachers and the distribution of mementos.
"There is a child in each one of us". Bringing the child out was exactly the motive of this new initiative. The event was conducted just to take a day's off and indulge into games like musical chair, passing the parcel, rope balancing etc. It turned out to be a huge success with maximum participation from the college toppers.
The Kite flying festival at IIMU is one of the most sought after events in college. Bright sunshine, light breeze, blue sky and colorful kites in the horizon, shouts of "kaato!!!" and cheer, is the scene at the Hostel terrace on the eve of the festival. CodeRED celebrates Uttarayan by conducting a kite flying competition at IIMU. Kites soaring the blue sky and competing to be the top dog, sounds of triumph and smiles all around is a pure joy to watch.
CodeRED in association with Potpourri organizes the great amazing race in the city of Udaipur. The race is designed on several clues provided at the pit stops. It tests the stamina, quick wit and the zeal to win of the various teams participating. It is one of the most coveted titles at IIMU.
The first ever farewell party was organized at The Bhairavgarh Fort with glittering stars and thumping music. The second one came with more surprises and loads of fun. This is something that the club takes a lot of pride in and strives to make it a memorable last day for the seniors.
There are a lot of new events lined up for this year and tons of celebrations, of course!
