ABOUT IIMU BEHAVIOURAL LAB:

The IIMU Behavioural Lab, a facility in partnership with the Rajasthan State Government and situated at the Rajasthan Centre for Advanced Technologies (RCAT) in Jaipur, is poised to be a hub for behavioural research in management fields. It is outfitted with sophisticated equipment like a 64-channel EEG System, eye-tracker, and a Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) system. The lab aims to apply behavioural science to generate practical insights for industry and policymaking, with a larger goal of bridging theory with application.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
IIMU Behavioural Lab is looking for a self-motivated, technically skilled, and productive Postgraduate / Postdoctoral Researcher who will be expected to conduct research and manage the functioning and administrative aspects of the IIMU Behavioural Lab.

Research & Consultation Responsibilities:

• Assist faculty with research/consulting studies.
• Conduct Training Workshops & Lab Demonstrations.

Administrative Responsibilities:

• One-time set-up of the subject pool by reaching out to various universities/institutions based in Jaipur.
• Physical maintenance, Annual Maintenance Charges (AMC), and record-keeping of technical laboratory infrastructure.
• Procurement of lab materials/equipment and communication with internal stakeholders, equipment distributors, and manufacturers regarding the same.
• Implementation of procedures and rules for laboratory use.
• Administration of recruitment of participants for experiments.
• Organizational support for running experiments.
• Directory maintenance and upgradation of the subject pool.
• Administrative support for the faculty members of Behavioural Lab.
• Support Chairperson(s) of the Behavioural Lab in outreach and engagement with the industry.

QUALIFICATIONS: Masters/Ph.D. in Cognitive/Neuroscience

SKILLSET: Masters/Ph.D. in Cognitive/Neuroscience

Required:

• Familiarity with instruments like EEG, Eye Tracker & GSR including data acquisition and data analysis.
• Well-equipped with experiment-building and stimulus presentation software such as E- E-Prime.
• Written and oral command of the English language.

Desirable:

• Three years of experience in applying experimental research methods and/or neuro methods in business, economics, finance, or marketing.
• Well versed with statistical tools/software (SPSS/R/Python).
• Experience in engaging with industry.

APPOINTMENT TENURE:

This is a contractual position. The tenure of the initial appointment would be for two years with a potential for extension based on performance.

LOCATION:

The selected candidate(s) would be required to work from IIMU Behavioural Lab located at Rajasthan Centre for Advanced Technologies (RCAT), Jaipur. RCAT is centrally located within the city of Jaipur with proximity to several residential and commercial hubs. Please note that the selected candidate is expected to look for accommodation at an individual level.

COMPENSATION: Compensation will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience.
