    Massive Open Online Course (MOOC)

    All applicants selected by IIMU must enroll in the MOOC that will be administered by IIMB. The MOOC will focus on 'Doing' rather than 'Planning' through a host of interactive sessions and reference materials towards action.

    Please note:The content covered here will not be repeated in the boot camp sessions at IIMU. Only participants who successfully complete the MOOC will be eligible to attend the Boot Camp I at IIMU.

    Boot Camps

    Boot Camp I will take place at IIMU. Sessions will cover all areas of practical relevance to entrepreneurs.

    Incubation for selected ideas

    A top few ideas from Boot Camp II will be shortlisted and the participants who presented them will be offered a fellowship with a monthly stipend for 12 months subsidized by IIMB.

Step 1

Massive Open Online Course (MOOC)

Applicants must first apply to IIMU using the online form click here

All applicants selected by IIMU must enroll separately in the MOOC organized by IIMB using the online form for the MOOC click here

The MOOC will focus on 'Doing' rather than 'Planning' through a host of interactive sessions and reference materials towards action.

Course Dates

The Course

Participants will be introduced to two entrepreneurial methods:

  • Lean Startup
  • Effectuation

The Methodology

To begin with, the participants will be presented with simple techniques to help them identify and evaluate opportunities. Additionally, a blended-learning methodology will encourage participants to engage in intermittent meetings with course personnel in few select cities.

Please note: The content covered here will not be repeated in the boot camp sessions at IIMU. Only participants who successfully complete the MOOC will be eligible to attend the Boot Camp I at IIMU.

Boot Camp II @ IIMB

The Methodology

A top few of the participants from Boot Camp I will be shortlisted and would be eligible to attend Boot Camp II for ten days at IIMB along with sister entrepreneurs from other partner institutions across the country. The final part of the Boot Camp at IIMB will lead to a one-on-one demo day. Participants will present an elevator pitch to a panel of entrepreneurs and business leaders. Based on these pitches, the selection panel will identify top business ideas.

  • Boot Camp II – April 30th to May 10th, 2018.
Boot Camp Extension @ IIMU

Participants who are not shortlisted for Boot Camp II at IIMB would continue with a Boot Camp Extension consisting of classroom sessions for ten days at IIMU. The sessions would be supplemented with site visits as well as interaction with successful women entrepreneurs and a panel discussion on entrepreneurship.

Step 2

Boot Camp I @ IIMU

The Curriculum

Boot Camp I will take place at IIMU. Sessions will cover all areas of practical relevance to entrepreneurs including the following course content:

  • Accounting & Finance
  • Budgeting & Costing
  • Business Law
  • Business Planning & Strategy
  • Communication & Negotiation
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset
  • Managing People
  • Operations and Supply Chain Management
  • Product Management
  • Sales & Marketing

The Methodology

Participants will be introduced to classroom sessions on subjects relevant to management and entrepreneurship. They would get an opportunity to present their Business Plan to the class and faculty. The presentations will be made to a panel of experts who shall evaluate them and may ask questions, seek clarifications and give feedback at the time of presentation. The written business plans will not be evaluated nor returned, however; feedback shall be provided when specifically asked for.

Step 3

Incubation for selected ideas

A top few ideas from Boot Camp II will be shortlisted and the participants who presented them will be offered a fellowship with a monthly stipend for 12 months subsidized by NSRCEL and IIMB. The fellowship would include incubation support from IIMU including mentoring for a year, workshops, mini demos to check progress, and networking opportunities with alumnae and investors.
