Experience
  • Prof. Sai Prakash Iyer brings more than 22 years of experience spanning academics, management consulting and industry. He is currently Adjunct Professor of Business Policy & Strategy at IIM Udaipur and was earlier Assistant Professor of Strategic Management at IIM Calcutta.
  • Prof. Iyer has taught the core Strategic Management course as well as electives in competitive strategy, corporate strategy and strategy execution at IIMs Calcutta, Udaipur, Visakhapatnam, Tiruchirappalli and Nagpur.
  • His consulting work is biased towards impact and implementability, and he advises the top management teams of a wide range of clients in terms of size and industry. His consulting engagements focus on topics such as strategies for growth, new ventures, turnaround, operational excellence etc., as well as organisational transformation and strategy execution. He was a Principal with the international management consulting firm, Arthur D. Little, based in Dubai and Kuala Lumpur and was responsible for the firm’s Strategy & Organisation as well as Public Sector practices in the Middle East. Earlier he was a profit center head with Siemens in India.
  • He holds an earned doctorate (Fellow) in Strategic Management from IIM Bangalore and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Kerala University.
