Mr. Harish Bhat- Brand Custodian, Tata Sons Ltd., interacted with the students as a part of Netratva-
The Leadership Talk Series of IIM Udaipur on 16 th August 2018.
Through the 150 years of the journey of the Tata group, Mr. Bhat highlighted the importance of
being in harmony with the community for any company to survive for a long period.
He talked about ‘Why curiosity is important for a marketer’ based on his book ‘The Curious
Marketer.’ He highlighted how brands have been successful in resonating a chord with the
customers by associating themselves with the attributes of wildlife.
Mr. Bhat put forth the example of how we can draw inspiration for imagination and innovation from
the Ganesh idols during visarjan.
Data may give you the insight, but it is curiosity that will ignite the spark.
