CCI (Competition Commission of India)
Ashok Chawla, Chairperson, Competition Commission of India (CCI) is a
distinguished civil servant with 40 years of experience in various
sectors of the economy at Federal and State Government in India as well
as at International Multilateral Agencies. He obtained his Masters in
Economics from Delhi School of Economics in 1972 and joined the Indian
Administrative Service in 1973.
He was a Member of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority.
He was the Permanent Secretary in key ministries of Government of India
such as Finance, Economic Affairs and Civil Aviation. He was member on
the board of Reserve Bank of India, the country's central bank. He was
also alternate Governor for India at the World Bank and the Asian
Development Bank. He not only worked in senior positions in the federal
government ministries but also held top appointments in the corporate
sector, including as Chairman & Managing Director of Indian
Petrochemicals Corporation Limited and Director of Oil & Natural Gas
Corporation Limited. In view of his rich and diversified experience,
after his retirement from civil service, he was appointed as
Chairperson, CCI with tenure up to January, 2016.
COO, Sistema Shyam, Rajasthan Circle
Mr. Ashish Bhatia started his career as a production engineer in India
Power Corporation Limited, where he worked for nearly two years. He then
took a break to pursue an MBA in marketing from the S.P. Jain Institute
of Management and Research. Post that, he joined Castrol India, where
he worked for seven years in various sales and marketing roles across
the country. He then moved to Shell India as regional sales manager,
south and east.
He began his telecom innings with Tata Teleservices Limited, where he
spent a challenging five years before moving to Sistema
ShyamTeleServices Limited (SSTL). Today, as chief operating officer of
the Rajasthan circle, he is responsible for building its customer
service channel and promoting the brand.
Senior Vice President, Bharti Walmart
Mr. Hardeep Singh, an alumnus of SPJIMR is the Senior Vice President of
Logistics and Supply Chain at Bharti Walmart. With over 19 years of work
experience, Mr.Singh brings to the table his experience in managing
logistics and SCM in India. Mr. Singh has worked in companies such as
Asian Paints, HLL, Unilever and Inlogistics. At Unilever, Mr. Singh
worked as as the Regional Category Planning Director. Prior to joining
Bharti Walmart, Mr. Singh served as the CEO of Inlogistics, India's
first private container cargo train operator.
Global CEO, Aegis Limited
Mr. Sandip is a serial entrepreneur and has been in the Technology,
Telecom and Outsourcing industry for the over 25 years. He started his
career at UB Group, India's premier conglomerate.
In early 2001 Mr. Sandip founded Customer First, India's leading CRM
service delivery organization and migrated several Fortune 500 Programs
into India in the Telecom, Banking, Retail, Hospitality and Technology
From less than USD 60 million revenues, his determination and deft
marketing skills has transformed Aegis into a USD 1 billion company with
over 56, 000 employees from 85 nationalities. Under his leadership
Aegis build the global business in countries like India, the US, South
Africa, Australia, Philippines, and the UK, and has added blue chip
clients to the Aegis stable.
Mr. Sandip is currently the Global CEO of Aegis Limited. He also sits on
several boards of its subsidiaries and is a member of the Global
Executive Committee of the Group.
COO-Global Operations, UAE Exchange
Mr. Y. Sudhir Kumar Shetty, COO – Global Operations, UAE Exchange, is a
leading figure in the field of finance and global remittance. His
leadership, technical insight and operational expertise have
strengthened UAE Exchange's culture of innovation and infused inimitable
quality in all aspects of its business operations.
Mr. Sudhir has been leading the UAE Exchange global operations since
1991. He nurtured and built a powerful team of professionals to achieve
top feats in product improvement, customer relationship management,
brand positioning and quality benchmarking.
Before joining UAE Exchange, Sudhir had worked with a range of audit
firms gaining good insight and hands-on experience in financial
management. He has also been a fellow member of the Institute of
Chartered Accountants of India. He holds membership of various executive
and business councils in the UAE. A Law and Commerce Graduate from the
University of Mysore in India, Sudhir also completed the 'Key Executive
Programme' at Harvard Business School, USA.
An eloquent speaker, Mr. Sudhir is regularly invited at various academic
and professional gatherings around the world. Mr. Sudhir received the
Jeevaragam Global Personality Award for 2012.
Chairman & Managing Director, EXIM Bank
Mr. T.C.A. Ranganathan has been appointed as Chairman & Managing
Director of Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank). Prior to this
appointment, Mr. Ranganathan was Managing Director of State Bank of
Bikaner & Jaipur.
Mr. Ranganathan is a career banker with a 35 years of experience with
State Bank of India (SBI). He has held diverse assignments including,
inter alia, Chief General Manager, International Operations; Head,
Corporate Finance; Regional Controller of Branches.
Mr. Ranganathan holds a Masters degree in Economics from Delhi School of
Economics, and has also attended Executive Development Programs at
Wharton, and IIM, Lucknow.
Anchor, Zee Business
An alumni of The London School of Economics, Piyush Srivastava is
currently working as a news anchor and sr. correspondent with Zee
Business.Piyush Srivastava is best known for his work for the small and
medium enterprises. For last 4 years Piyush is reporting the development
and challenges of MSME sector. In his 5 years of experience in
journalism Piyush realized the potential of Small & medium
enterprises. He feels that this sector is the real back bone of our
economy and it's high time to recognize the contribution of this sector
in growth of our country's economy.
Director, Ogilvy Action
RajkumarJha, is the National Creative Director of Ogilvy Outreach, the
rural activation arm of O&M, which is now a part of
OgilvyAction.Born and brought up in Bihar, Jha is an avid observer,
filmmaker and folk writer in Hindi.Jha started his career with O&M
(then Ogilvy Benson & Mather) in 1984-85 in the media department.He
moved to Mudra in 1990 for a short stint of about a year, but moved back
to O&M in 1991 in the films and creative department. He was with
Ogilvy Outreach till 2005, after which he went on a sabbatical and
returned in 2008.
COO, Sagar Ratna Restaurants Pvt. Ltd.
Mr. Murli Krishna, is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Sagar Ratna
Restaurants Pvt. Ltd. An IIM Ahmadabad alumnus, Mr. Krishna has
previously held several responsibilities such as Account Group Head at
Lintas, Regional Head Merchandising at Food World Supermarket Ltd.,
Vice-President at Wal-Mart India as well as Head - Offer Management
& New Markets at Metro Cash & Carry India Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Murli
Krishna has expertise in Chain Store Management, Retail operations,
Marketing, Advertising & Communication, Category Management, Supply
Chain Management and above all in developing a customer focused and
motivated team to deliver results.
Chief Strategy Officer, Titan Industries Ltd.
Mr. Ajoy Chawla is a Mechanical Engineer from VJTI – Mumbai and a post
graduate from IIM - Calcutta. He joined the Tata Administrative Services
in 1990 and has been with Titan Industries since 1991. He has over 20
years experience with Titan Industries, across geographies and
businesses, covering Sales, Distribution, Retail and Business. He has
held many senior portfolios in the company's business and now is the
Chief Strategy Officer of Titan Industries Ltd.
Mr. Nagarajan Sivaramakrishnan, completed his dairy science and
technology degree from the College of Dairy Science, Anand in 1984 and
went on to do his post graduate diploma at the Indian Institute of
Management, Ahmedabad. He then worked at Cadbury India as a Branch
Manager for close to 8 years. Mr. Nagarajan then went on to the sales
sector of Fritolay India and then Joyco India. He completed his 8 year
association with Philips Electronics India Ltd. as the vice president of
the HR department. In 2010, he went back to his original passion and
interest - the dairy industry and joined Mother Dairy Fruits &
Vegetables Private Limited as its Managing Director.
Head Supply Chain, Tata Steel – Wire Division
Mr. Singh, is currently serving as the Head Supply Chain, Tata Steel
Global Wires- India. He has around 8 years of work experience with Tata
Steel in various divisions. Prior to Tata Steel he served as the Chief –
Operations, Lanka Special Steel. Mr.Singh attended the management
development program at IIM Ahmedabad. He is a gradute of College of
Engineering, Pune and has also attended Marketing and Sales program at
Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies.
Anjan Jyoti Goswami is a 2nd Year PGP student at IIM Udaipur with 23
months' Work Experience and is planning to make a career in finance. He
believes that hard work, discipline and kind heart will help you succeed
in all your ambitions. He is an avid reader of novels and loves
travelling. At this year's Leadership summit, he is moderating the panel
discussion on: 'Indian Economy: Shift in focal point from urban to
rural', and hopes that the student community will gain valuable insights
into the huge Indian rural market and the best way to tap it, for the
development of the country.
Vinay Tejasvi Y is a 2nd Year PGP student at IIM Udaipur having 23
months' Work Experience with Infosys. He hopes to graduate as a general
management student having gained insights into the various facets of
management that are necessary for businesses to run successfully. He
believes that a manager in a globalized world should necessarily be
persistent, encourage team work, be humble and have the willingness to
learn continuously. At this year's leadership summit, he is moderating
the panel discussion on 'The pressing need for Supply chain redesign in
India' and hopes to address the challenges that companies face in the
Indian supply chain and how redesign can address these issues.
Vivek is a second year PGP student, batch of 2012-14 at IIM Udaipur. He
is a finance enthusiast. In his free time he sketches, plays
table-tennis, football, or volleyball. He is fascinated by simple ways
of doing things. He believes that hard work, courage and humility can
take you places in the long run. He is excited about his forthcoming
stint as a moderator of a panel discussion by industry veterans at
Leadership Summit 2013.
